Corporate Division: Total Vehicle, Quality Management

Employment - full time
Tasks
• Analysis and evaluation of materials and processes to ensure the achievement of defined BMW quality standards;
• Investigation of quality problems and the initiation / support of problem-solving processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Physical-mechanical analysis on non metallic parts, materials and processes: - Plastic, rubber, leather, textile, glass, wood etc.- Other interior & exterior parts- Other nonmetal related parts
• Responsible for problem solving, failure analysis and implementation of solutions, support to PSP for functional tests:- Tensile, compression, hardness, thickness etc.- Microtome sampling & sample preparation- Microscopy analysis & photo microscopy- Optic evaluation & color measurement- Climatic test - Other tests: odor, burning, water content.
• Contact person for BMW Group / TI-34 CoC Nonmetal; Ensuring that tests are realized according to BMW and ISO conform specifications and guidelines
• Responsible for test equipment management: planning, purchase, maintenance, calibration, MSA, round robin, repair, spare part and consumable
• Support of supplier qualification / process and product audits / test competence alignment with suppliers, TI-3 and external institutions
Qualifications
• University degree / graduated in engineering or material science (e.g. polymer)
• Knowledge of automotive industry
• Background in material sciences (non-metal material or process)
• Knowledge of international standard / test method, knowledge and understanding of quality system
• Operation competence for test equipments
• Language skills (English fluent, German addition, PC literate)
• Ability to operate self responsibly and independently
• Presentation skill, report writing, analytical thinking and communication skill
• Experience in Quality/ Analysis/ Lab functions 4-6 Years
• Experience with physical-mechanical test methods 4-6 Years
• Work experience of problem solving, failure analysis 4-6 Years
• Experience with test equipment management (e.g. Calibration, Maintenance, Spare part) 4-6 Years
