Advanced Embedded Engineer develops device drivers and addressing hardware-near issues
for barcode printer under Honeywell PSS (Productivity Solutions and Services) business.
Specifically, this position will be responsible / accountable for…
• Develop printer related drivers
• Resolve the firmware related product issue, production issue and customer field issue
• Estimating work required to implement and test code to meet defined requirements
• Writing efficient, high quality and maintainable C/C++ code (to work on a range of hardware
platforms) using industry best practice and methodologies
• Testing code, capturing and resolving issues.
• Communicating results, progress, and the solution.
Basic Qualifications:
• Software engineering, Computer Science, or related
• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years or master’s degree with minimum 3 year’s industry
experience
• Experience using C/C++ developing software in embedded environments
• Linux driver development experience is needed
• Analytical with strong problem-solving ability
• Good written and oral English, able to have conference in English
Preferred Experience:
• Agile development knowledge and experience
• RFID development experience is a plus
• BT, Wifi development experience is a plus
• Knowledge of thermal transfer technology or other printer technology is a plus
