BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF's largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards. The new smart Verbund site will include a steam cracker with a capacity of 1 million metric tons of ethylene per year and downstream plants for consumer-oriented products. By utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards, the site will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production. Objectives For our Product Family Site Logistics & Management Operations we are searching for a new colleague, experienced in Logistics processes. In our product family we concentrate on: Warehouse Management/Inventory Management/Yard Management This position mainly sets focus on the area of Warehouse & Inventory Management. Good knowledge in SAP EWM would be a great addition. But most importantly we are looking for someone who knows about or is eager to learn the many facets around logistics environment / Stock Management ◦Enable and support internal business partners (IBP’s) to achieve BASF business goals through providing best-in-class IT and digitalization solutions. ◦Drive the implementation of IT and digitalization solutions for BASF in engineering, maintenance and operations ◦Continuously improves methodology, tools, guidelines and techniques for business requirement engineering Main Tasks ◦Works in an agile DevOps environment, keeping strong communication with the team ◦Defines the solution and technical design based on business requirements ◦Analyzes, models, consults and optimizes business process solutions ◦Collaborates with different business partners ◦Contributes to project planning, cost estimations and supports UAT testing, training and service transition to operations/support organization for projects and change requests ◦Coordinates activities which are necessary for the technical implementation throughout all project phases ◦Ensure the readiness and preparation of the organization to provide ongoing support and optimizations for implemented solutions in a sustainable way throughout all life cycle phases Optimal Education and Qualification Required for the Position Experience in at least one of the following SAP Modules (priority on order): 1.EWM; 2.LE (Logistics Execution);3.WM;4.
