【Title】Video SW Engineer 【Location】 Chengdu 【Job Function】 • Qualcomm is the leading provider of smartphone chipset and software technology in the world. Our technology solutions bring function and high-speed wireless connectivity to mobile devices, powering the majority of smartphones around the global. As part of the global Video developer team of Qualcomm, we are looking for talents who will be responsible for competitor analysis, requirement analysis, feature design & implementation, software maintenance. 【Responsibilities】 • You will get involved in QCOM premium chipset video software development and maintenance, including Android/Linux multimedia framework, video driver/HAL, and video pre/post-processing. • You will work on requirement analysis and feature design from OEMs, as well as top social media vendors. • With Deep-Learning and Gen AI coming, you are also expected to be involved for novel scenario, like AI+Video/Camera, etc. • You will work closely with international peers on the world cutting-edge video technologies. 【Requirements】 • Proficient in coding with C and C++, and experience in Java or Python will be a plus. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability. • Experiences in software design and new feature implementation. • Solid background and experience in one or several of the following areas: o Linux device driver development and debugging. o Multimedia framework: Android multimedia framework (MediaCodec, Nuplayer), GStreamer, FFMPEG. o Video usage models: playback, camcorder, streaming, VR video. o Video compression standard (e.g., H.264/H.265/H.266/AV1). o Video pre/post-processing (e.g., denoise, super-resolution, bokeh) o Streaming protocols and implementation (e.g., HLS/HTTP/RTSP/DASH, Miracast/WFD). • Experiences in Deep-Learning and Gen AI model development and tuning is a great plus. • Experiences in other multimedia modules (audio, camera, display, etc.) are preferred. 【Education Background】 • Major in CS/EE. • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ year experience or Master’s Degree.
