ICDL at a glance The International Computer Driving LicenceTM (ICDL) is a globally recognised qualification that promotes digital literacy by enabling people to demonstrate their skills in basic day-to-day computer applications. ICDL is available in 150 countries, testing in 40 languages and covers more than 6 million candidates around the globe. ICDL is endorsed by various global organisations such as the United Nations, the European Union and multi-national corporations such as British Petroleum, Nokia, and many others. The European Computer Driving Licence Foundation (ECDL-F, www.ecdl.com), the worldwide governing body and licensing authority of the ICDL programme, is a non-profit organisation based in Dublin, Ireland.
