Job Overview:
Develop modem software to optimize power consumption in modem domain. Work with multiple modem SW teams to triage power consumption issues and provide fix to achieve power goals. Study modem logs to bring up power optimization proposals and develop solutions. Familiar with 4G/5G physical layer procedures would be a big plus. Expertise in power optimization of mobile device would be a big plus. Work experience in mobile phone SoC vendor would be a big plus. Strong ability to quickly learn new technologies. Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and Communication skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: -
The position entails programming in embedded C/C++ and/or assembly on proprietary embedded DSP and micro-controller processors for a variety of industry leading wireless modem products. Candidates will participate in the design, implementation, and commercialization of modem clock, power and control code. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the architectural design and evolution of current and next generation wireless modem technologies. Engineers will work cross with LTE/NR modem team to optimate the protocol behaviors to deliver high-performance and high-power efficiency products to the wireless marketplace. Responsibilities include ownership of the design and implementation as well as customer support of the various modules comprising modem power issue. The modem power team works closely with 4G/5G modem systems and ASIC engineering teams to implement and optimize modem power efficiency while also influencing the evolution of their design and inspiring the Qualcomm products of the future.
Required Qualifications
- Solid C/C++ programming skills and 3+ years programming experience,
- Solid knowledge on RTOS/ARM/DSP/SOC architecture and debugging skill.
--Good knowledge in 4GLTE/5GNR protocol and 1+ years’ experience
- English communication and interpersonal skills;
- High motivation and strong self-learning ability.
Preferred Qualifications
-Solid knowledge in 4GLTE/5GNR access stratum procedures is a big plus.
- Has experience in BSP clock driver development
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's, major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant majors.
