To provide: Digital Commissioning Management System (DCMS) Onsite Technical Support in client's site
- Experience: 2-5+ Years Systems Admin/Programming Experience.
- Qualifications: Tertiary Degree in Computer Science/STEM Subject or equiv.
- Programming Languages: bash/shell scripting, html, PowerShell, typescript/javascript, SQL/PostgresSQL.
- Bonus: Interest or experience in Functional Programming Languages e.g. System F/Haskell.
- Operating Systems: Microsoft Platform, Linux
Job Description:
- An on-site Systems Administrator/Junior Developer is required to support and develop project owner’s Digital Commissioning Management System (DCMS). The candidate will work directly with the owner commissioning team and DCMS vendor to manage the day to day running of the DCMS.
- The primary function of the candidate is to support and monitor the onsite performance of the DCMS: ensuring it is working efficiently and to provide real time trouble shooting and recovery when network issues arise that may disrupt data connectivity.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring uptime and performance of the system, helping the commissioning team and stakeholders with importing scheduling data into the DCMS platform, and supporting the collection of user feedback and translating this into technical requirements.
- The candidate will develop an understanding of the underlying data structures and application logic supporting the scheduling and utility balancing functions of the DCMS in order to provide support and diagnose issues.
- To support these functions the candidate should be confident in the use of cloud-based Web Applications, SQL databases, working with web browsers and excel, and writing scripts on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms (bash/PowerShell or similar).
- The candidate may also be required to interact with third party engineering applications and help efficiently translate this data into a format appropriate for import into the DCMS.
- There is an opportunity for the candidate to advise on the desired customizations and features for the DCMS platform based on user feedback. This would involve programming in typescript/javascript, sql, and at the application level in Haskell.
