Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement and continously improve current EHS system
- Collect, communicate and convert the relevant up-to-date external EHS laws, regulations, policies, standards into internal system to ensure compliance;
- Establish and maintain effective internal EHS processes and responsibility organization;Work with GY global/regional EHS&S to get GDCK aligned;
2. Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and operations
-Make sure all fire-fighting equiment/devices function properly and easily accessible at proper locations;
-Conduct job safety analysis and develop safety guides as needed;
-Provide EHS input for facilities/machinery projects;
-Take the lead in EHS&S projects and three simultaneities when applicable;
-Periodically perform internal EHS inspection/audit as necessary to identifiy, minimize or eliminate potential harzards;
-Responsible for EHS related case investigation, measures, report and communication;
-Apply safety signs, tags, alerts, reminders, emergency exit drawings, announcements, etc in proper locations;
-Ensure adequate PPE and first-aid supplies;
3. Set up EHS training program and contininously raise the safety awareness of all employees
-Ensure the qualifications/compliance for safety related positions with their licenses/certificates and traingings effectively refreshed;
-Plan and conduct EHS trainings include but not limited to new emlpoyee on-board trainings, refresh trainings, first-aid trainings, self-rescue skills, etc.
-Carry out fire drills and coordinate yearly employee health check;
-Provide employee safety/health related guidance as needed;
4. Incorporate sustainability into EHS and operations and promote sustainability initiatives
-Develop and integrate sustainability program with EHS and operations;
-Align with corporate sustainability strategy and implement good sustainability practices;
-Manage wastes treatment or disposal in compliance with regualtions;
-Address sustainability challenges from local gov. or communities if any;
-Identifiy the opportunities for sustainable projects include but not limited to renewable energy, energy efficiency , carbon neutral, recycle, etc ;
5. Coordinate external safety and environment assessment and inspection and close any gaps or findings if any;
6. Stay in close contact with government EHS regulatory authorities;
7. Take assignments as appointed by line manager;
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Enviroment/Safety/Chemical engineering related, Master's degree desirable
2. 3-5 years of EHS experience, compresentive knowledge of EHS related laws, regualtions, policies and standards. Lab/Manufacturing/chemical/rubber industry preferred
3. Bilingual in Chinese and English, good English speaking skill, can communicate with Global team.
4. Attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills.
