Services we offer include: · Inbound investment into the US: tax-efficient structuring of a non-US organization’s investment or operations in the US, including analysis of issues such as US permanent establishment, ECI, withholding taxes, inbound financing, FIRPTA, branch profits, earnings stripping and application of double tax treaties · Outbound investment from the US to Asia: tax planning regarding anti-deferral regime (e.g. CFC, PFIC), utilization of foreign tax credits, and assistance regarding GILTI and BEAT · Tax compliance services: preparation of US federal, state and local income tax returns · Transaction services: tax due diligence, structuring and post-transaction integration · Private equity and alternative investments: tax efficient structuring of acquisition, finance, refinance, and exit throughout the full life cycle of a fund
Responsibilities: · Prepare / review tax returns and workpapers and assist with clients in meeting their tax compliance obligations · Work with teams of other lines of services and assist in US tax advisory projects such as cross border M&A transactions, group restructuring, tax structuring and operation review projects · Assist in conducting research and analysing US federal and state income tax issues in connection with the relevant US tax compliance or US tax advisory projects
Qualifications: · A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant US tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or industries for associate and senior associate, respectively · Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or above · AICPA or State Bar membership in good standing is not required but preferred · Excellent command of written and spoken English; Proficiency in Chinese is preferred · Strong analytical and organizational skills · Team player with initiative to help projects move forward
