Job Function • Develop low level SW in embedded systems environment according to algorithm recipes for Qualcomm WLAN products
• Diagnose WLAN and RF systems performance issues. Ensure good performance in both factory mode and functional mode
• Work closely with and support chip designers, h/w board engineers and RF specialists in the lab
Responsibilities • Design, develop, unit test and documentation of WLAN RF SW features
• Optimize the RF SW for maximum performance
• Co-work with cross function teams to resolve issues reported from internal or customers, support customer launch and release issues
• May need travel to customer sites
Skills/Experience • Outstanding ability of C/C++ Programming
• One or more scripting languages such as Perl, python, shell, etc
• Experience of embedded software development
• Experience of WiFi (802.11b/g/a/n/ac) is a strong plus
• Experience of CPU architecture such as ARM and MIPS is a plus
• Ability to understand hardware design (schematics) is a plus
• Software using an in-circuit emulator: Lauterbach, Trace32, JTAG for an ARM processor
• Digital communications and RF theory in the areas of WIFI, LTE, CDMA, UMTS or GSM
