George Clinical is an international contract research organisation with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region. Offering full service clinical trial management with scientific links with the George Institute, George Clinical provides multicentre clinical trials with contacts in 40 countries and with over 300 sites under management.
George Clinical has operations in Australia, China and India with an overall turnover of $33 million, an operational budget of $8 million and employing 75 people throughout its operations. The primary purpose of George Clinical is to provide contract research services and contribute financial support of the research activity of The George Institute.
Context
George Clinical is a wholly owned business of the George Institute. It forms part of the global operations of the Institute. It functions as a separate organisation and is accountable to the Principal Directors of the George Institute for its overall operation and financial performance.
The George Institute is a legally independent institution affiliated with The University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and the Sydney South Western Area Health Service. In addition to George Clinical, The George Institute has established four wholly owned legal subsidiaries: The George Foundation, The George Institute India and The George Institute China and The George Institute UK.
Profits of George Clinical are invested into the George Institute in support of its research activity. George Clinical leverages and shares resources purchased from the George Institute including facilities and support services.
The Clinical Trials Assistant is a member of the Clinical Operations Division in George clinical. The CO Division is responsible for the monitoring tasks and support of clinical trials. The division allocates resources to projects as appropriate to assist with the implementation of project plans and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Standard Operating Procedures. 收起全部
