We are looking for a Director of Product Planning to join our NVIDIA DRIVE Product team to define and develop products to grow our Autonomous Vehicles business. As a Product Planning Director, you will build and lead a team to mold NVIDIA innovative autonomous vehicles' technology into AV products. You will work with forward-thinking people in engineering, operations and marketing to lead every phase of product, from conception to obsolescence.
What you will be doing: • Setting the vision for the product planning team, maximizing your deep understanding of customer needs, knowledge of the AV industry, and out-of-the-box thinking • Lead a team to drive all aspects of product planning including data collection, ML ops, Data ops, meeting KPIs, HIL, SIL and customer management • Drive alignment with engineering teams on system design, use case analysis, architectural analysis • Define all aspects of system including safety, SOTIF, AoUs and work with safety teams to get the deliverables in place • Responsible for scouting the industry for advanced AV products and regularly publish competitive reports • You'll be at the forefront of defining and driving product planning and engineering execution to identify key outcomes and driving to achieve success metrics across the AV organization • Communicate continuously with customers, understanding their evolving needs to ensure product competitiveness and translate that into product roadmap to drive execution
What we need to see: • BS/MS (or equivalent experience) in engineering with 15+ years of experience in both software and hardware platforms. • 8+ years of leadership experience. • You are a Self-starter, with a 'can-do' attitude in a multifaceted environment. • Experience working in a software development environment • Experience with product requirements management tools (e.g. JAMA) • Track record of leading the launch of technically complex products to customers • Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations and with customers
Ways to stand out from the crowd: • Background in autonomous vehicles, Driver Assist technology, and/or machine learning • Exposure leading development of ADAS functions/products • Experience with customer management & interaction
