JobDescription:ThePurchasingEngineerwilldevelopthesourcinginitiativesofequipmentandotherMROandcoordinateallactivitiesrelatedtotheprocurementofcomplexequipmentfromprojectcharterthroughdelivery.ThePurchasingEngineerwillworkwithsuppliersandinternalstakeholderstoidentifysolutionsthatsupportoperationalrequirementswhilereducingTotalCostofOwnership.PrimaryResponsibilities:•ResponsibleforcategoryrelatedtoCapitalEquipment(CAPEX)andMaintenance(MRO).•Leadtheinvestigation,evaluation,andselectionofsuppliersthroughmarketsourcing,identificationofsuppliercapabilities,proposalreview,riskanalysis,andcomplexcommercialcontractnegotiation.•Preparationandissuanceofpurchaseordersandrevisions.•Measuresandmaintainssupplierperformanceforprice,delivery,andquality.•Communicatesprojectupdatestoallstakeholders.•Coordinatestheflowoftechnicalinformationrequiredforprojectcompletion.•Analyzespurchaseorderanduserrequests;Resolvesdiscrepancies;updatesinternaldatabases.•Coordinatescontractmilestones,productionschedules,drawings,andspecifications.Maintainsreportspertainingtoorders:pendingdelivery,deliveredbutwaitingforclearance,deliveredbutawaitingpayment.Maintenanceofaccuratewarrantyinformationforallassignedareas,etc.•Withengineeringteamcoordinatesand/orschedulesremoteinspectionsand/orinstallations.•Resolvesdiscrepanciestomaterialspecifications,shortshipments,damagedgoods,paymentterms.Coordinatesgoodssentforrepairormaintenance,etc.•Maintainandreportthespend(coastsaving)andresourcecommitments.•AssistsFinanceteaminresolvingissuespertainingtocategorypayablesandinthecompletionofA/Rdocumentation.•Otherdutiesasassigned.
